This past Saturday night, we sipped on spritzes, played Bingo, and danced the night away to celebrate the launch of our new SuperSuede™ Baked Powder Blush. Enter: Saie Italo Bingo Hall!
Technically we were in the heart of New York City; at the stunning Casa Lever (which recently underwent a chic renovation by David Bucovy Architect) to be exact. But as we stepped inside the opulent restaurant—framed by modern art, buzzing with laughter—it felt more like Milan than Manhattan.
Inspired by our new blush from Italy, our team had a vision to transport our guests—actress Tommy Dorfman and influencers Greta Lousie Tomé, Gigi Paris, and Kate Bartlett were all there, among many other friends—to a glitzy Italian Bingo hall. (Did you know that Bingo was born in Italy around 1530? It was called “Il Gioco del Lotto d’Italia,” which means “The Italian Lottery Game.”) So, naturally, we had to play the game with bespoke “Italo Bingo” cards that doubled as place cards.
Fabulous drag queens Aimee Amour and Phaedra Phaded hosted an electric round of Bingo, while the signature cocktail of the evening—the SuperSuede™ Spritz, a refreshing mix of Pallini Limoncello, Campari, prosecco, and orange bitters—was served. And bruschetta bites, Caprese skewers, and plates of rigatoni floated around the room. As every ball was called by Aimee and Phaedra (we went with Saie-themed words like “glow” and “flushed,” instead of the expected B2, N5, etc.), guests inched closer to getting their chips in a row, and the room grew louder in suspense of “BINGO!” being shouted out.
Later in the evening, the chandeliers dimmed, and as DJ Jade Croo took over, the room transformed into a full-on disco. To cap off the whole la dolce vita of it all, gelato was served. Sweet, no?
Ready to host your own Bingo night? We’ve started planning for you.
Get a bingo set. This wooden one is great, as is this version with playing cards.
Send out a cute invitation to your friends (perhaps this design from Paperless Post).
Print out bingo cards. Etsy has tons of fun designs.
Create a signature cocktail and mocktail. We also aren’t against a ready-to-serve option like these from Via Carota and these non-alcoholic drinks from Aplos.
Make a playlist and get ready for a really great time.
Now, in the spirit of our new favorite game, tell us—what’s on your Bingo card for spring? Share with us in the comments.
Until next time,
Xoxo
